a little of this a little of that...

Last night at Walmart saw that Judith McNaught has a new novel! I am so excited since she hasn't had a new one out since Night Whispers which was in 1999...

Book Description from Amazon.com

#1 New York Times bestselling author Judith McNaught crafts a thrilling tale filled with unrelenting suspense, unforgettable characters, and powerful undercurrents of greed, ambition, and desire.

Leigh Kendall reveled in her stellar Broadway acting career and in her marriage to Logan Manning, scion of an old New York family. When her husband finds the perfect mountain property for their dream house, he decides to surprise Leigh with her first view of the site. Driving upstate on a winter's night, Leigh is run off the road in the midst of a blinding blizzard. When she awakes in the local hospital, seriously injured, the police inform her that her husband has mysteriously disappeared, and Leigh, although obviously distraught, becomes the focus of their suspicions. The more she discovers about her husband and his business affairs, the less she realizes she knew about Logan Manning. Now, Leigh is heading deeper and deeper into unknown territory...where friends and enemies are impossible to distinguish, and where the truth becomes the most terrifying weapon of all.

I had to put the book I was reading aside and that one was Body of Lies by Iris Johansen, my other fave, but not having one of Judith McNaughts novels to read in so long was like a friend coming back home after too many years :)   I only read the first chapter and it's already good :)

Tonight we did the first group chat on AOL for SoapChatFriends
Only 2 other members showed up tho, but it was fine :) Denise and Sandra and I had a really nice time chatting and may even do it again sometimes during the week. Hopefully more will join in next weeks chat.

I got the cross stitcher magazine today from Mary.... She's so great!!! Thanks Mary! I had a peek and there were a few patterns I will really want to stitch, I'll scan a pic of the roses against the flag picture thats the one I want to do the most. Its a Pam Kellogg design.

I've only read about a chapter of it before I put it down to read the Judith McNaught new novel... but if you read and loved The Face of Deception and The Killing Game you will like Body of Lies! It's the 3rd part of that story :)
